Mining, oil and gas construction is booming in Australia. Australia has major supplies of natural resources. As you all know China's economy is growing at a rapid rate and they are buying all the mineral resources Australia can provide. Because of this mining, oil, gas and natural mineral plants are springing up all over Australia. The Australian government is begging for overseas workers. Do a google search on skilled labor shortage in Australia and see for yourself.
Just so you understand, I am not a recruiter. I am a U.S. citizen that was recruited by an Australian construction company. I am a Construction Manager/Engineer.
There is a lot of money to be made here. Wages are very high, but be aware taxes are high too. Currently most companies are recruiting from the U.K. and southeast Asia. They are looking for mainly tradesmen and construction engineers. Most projects are in remote areas of Western Australia. Jobs are Fly-in Fly-out and 4-6 weeks on and 1 week off.
Please do a google search on Australia mining/constructionjobs and see for yourself.
If you have questions I'll be glad to help out my fellow Americans.

I've recently started looking for work outside the US and I came across this thread. I have used all the little clues in this thread and all of them have lead to a dead end or something that is fishy. And when I ask about specific jobs that have been posted here the company doesn't seem to know a lot. Whats really going on?

Got tired of being a helper over here so he's pulling leads over there.Got tired of competing with the 'cans for the high paying jobs. He's the australian mascot, stands out in the parking lot beating on his chest every morning during the pep talk. He's a legend in his own mind.Post a list of all the hands from the US that have gotten jobs from your posts and maybe others will believe how great you are.I smell smoke and dust!

$80,000/yr and give them $120,000 not a bad deal...for them. Also got to think what a sponsor or recruiter is going to take for their cut. They're not going to let you stroll in and make a good living for free. It's like everywhere else you pay your dues and suck up if you want to hang around and work.Doesn't take but one bad thing a contractor has to say about you and they'll send you packing back to the US.

At least the jobs I post provide others with work instead of just giving my prepubescent azz a boner like your posts do. Show one person who has gotten one job from your months of posting this crap. Also the site you [posted comes up it's the job link that does not so it is worthless, just like you.

Last year I paid 32% tax in Australia. The tax percentage varies with your yearly pay. Similar to Canada's tax system.

Grow up Merlin.

I am grown up, you can tell because I don't post BS on here to make me feel like a big shot.

grown up??? Physically yes, but mentally - obviously not. More like an immature schoolyard bully. Did Rebel appoint you Moderator or are you just a self-appointed nazi wanne be?
