1. Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials.
2. Works under general supervision and performs additional duties as necessary
3. Works from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts or work orders.
4. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
5. Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
Requires High School diploma or equivalent.
Requires 3-5 years welding experience.
Must possess SMAW, GTAW, MIG and Brazer Grade III & V.
Certification in GTAW.
Certification to or the ability to certify to SMAW welding principles.
Must possess an active Secret clearance or eligible to obtain one.
Must be able to work at least 20 hrs a week.
